The grooming industry is getting a makeover in Kottayam! Until 2011, if a man wanted a haircut, he went to the local barbershop, the kind with posters of film stars with gravity-defying hairdos on the walls. Women who wanted their tresses snipped or eyebrows threaded went to a nearby beauty parlour, usually for 'ladies only' and run by an enterprising neighbourhood woman. But we changed all that by introducing the first, complete family salon in Kottayam in 2011.  

At ACUA, hygiene has always been our No.1 priority. We’re following the highest level of hygiene and safety measures at our salon.

We shampoo the hair of each customer prior to a haircut for hygienic reasons. We strictly do not encourage dry haircuts. 

We use fresh towels and cutting capes for each customer. 

Towels and cutting capes are tumble-washed at 60°C and dried at 120°C, in-house.

We use disposable bed sheets for each facial/waxing service. 

We use disposable spatulas for each waxing service.
